Planning: A Party for SpriteKat

All over the Internet you see birthday parties that people have thrown for their dogs. SpriteKat didn't really take any notice until she saw Mr. Humperdink's birthday party. Sure a cat attended Briar, Lola, and Grover's doggie birthday party, but it wasn't a party for the cat.

Now Mr. Humperdink's party was different. Why? Mr. Humperdink is a cat. So planning has begun in earnest; SpriteKat has demanded a party. Not one where cats attend (she's a dogcat and only associates with dogs). Not one where dogs attend (we have a one bedroom apartment). But a party attended by other cats' pets (pets referring to us humans who think we have cats for pets).

If we were in Vancouver, BC, we'd have Lyndsay Sung of Coco Cake, design and bake a vegan cake and cupcakes for SpriteKat's party. Isn't her work gorgeous?

I haven't yet found recipes for cat treats. Of course catnip treats are a given. I love these emoticat catnips from BlowUp!.

Anyone have any recipes for cat treats or know if dog treats are safe for cats to eat?
